Service charges

It is an essential part of a social landlord's budgeting regime that they are able to recover the cost of additional services through the imposition of service charges. The existence of specific regimes for imposing, reviewing and enforcing such charges and the frequent decisions of the Appeal Courts in this area mean that it is wise to be up to date on the latest developments.

Together with our Commercial Property and Commercial Litigation departments, we regularly provide advice and legal representation to social and private sector landlords on the enforceability of service charges and the drafting of tenancy agreements and leases.
