Unfortunately 49 jobs have been lost in Manchester after administrators have been appointed to Screensafe UK Limited, Trimega Laboratories Limited and Ingemino Testing Services Limited all based in the North area of Manchester.  These companies provide drugs, alcohol and paternity testing.  One of the companies is a provider of legally defensible testing that supports critical decisions in child protection cases offering services such as hair, drug, alcohol and steroid testing and DNA relationship testing services.  The administration of the companies has been blamed on the decline in the paternity testing market.  This undoubtedly can be due to the result of recent changes to the Legal Aid system.  Paternity testing is most commonly used in custody and child support hearings.  The changes in the Legal Aid system may mean that these requirements are less popular.

This is a very market specific cause of administration.  However, insolvency experts are predicting an increase in insolvencies lasting further into 2014.  Many commentators are predicting stronger recovery in 2014 and against a backdrop of cashflow difficulties to fund growth and cautious bank lending more businesses will struggle to balance their books in 2014 causing more administrations.
