Resolution are the forefront of a campaign for a "no fault divorce" in Engand and Wales and have now been instrumental in assisting Mrs Owens being granted pernission to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Mrs Owens in 2015 petitoned for divorce against her husband and relied upon his 'unreasonable behaviour'. Mr Owens defended the divorce and at a hearing His Honour Judge Tolson QC refused to grant Mrs Owens a divorce. He said the facts in which she seeked to rely were "minor altercations of a kind to be expected in a marriage". On appeal the Court of Appeal upheld this desicion.

It will now be argued in the Supreme Court that trying to find a husband or wife 'unreasonable' is wrong.
