Housing management policy can seem like a minefield at a time when the sector faces increasing challenges, including from tenants on the basis of alleged discrimination or unfairness. Poor drafting can also lead to legal non-compliance, the risk of regulatory sanction, or confusion and disempowerment among housing colleagues. Additional policies are often required following changes in legislation or the introduction of new government initiatives.

We are able to review policies and procedures, either following a dispute or as part of a routine checkup, and get them fine-tuned to do the job correctly and pragmatically, so that they are easy to understand but strengthened against legal challenge. We are also vastly experienced in dealing with challenges under the Equality Act 2010, the Human Rights Act 1998, and public law.
