- A: TUPE - An Update
This session will explore contractual variation and dismissals following a TUPE transfer and provide an update on recent case law.
- B: Parental leave and Flexible Working - A Practical Guide
This session will cover how to deal with requests for leave for maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave, time off for dependants and the practical issues employers face in dealing with such issues. The session will also include an update in respect of the new rules, such as the flexible working hours change in July 2014.
- C: An Introduction to Contracting with Third Parties and Intellectual Property
This session deals with issues which businesses need to be aware of when contracting with third parties. It will provide delegates with an overview of when and how a contract is formed, when it may be beneficial to have one in writing and negotiation tactics. The session will also include an introduction to intellectual property, how this can be identified and commercialised before ending with an update on new legislation and decisions.
