The Lancashire Education Forum is a popular forum which is held termly and free to attend. The forums are aimed at Head Teachers, School Business Managers and School Governors who want to keep up to date with relevant changes and developments in the education sector.

This session will cover the importance of the creation of business continuity plans and arrangements in emergency situations to ensure that breaks in education caused by situations beyond the school's control are kept to a minimum and managed effectively. Mark Nutter is a Highly Experienced former Risk Manager having worked at numerous Greater Manchester Local Authorities before joining Forbes.
09.20am Managing Child Protection Issues within schools - the responsibilities of the school and the potential risks to staff and children - Kella Bowers, Head of Forbes Social Services and Abuse Team
This session will briefly cover the nature of the involvement of schools with Child protection issues and Children's Social Care including referrals, continued management and the potential effects of mandatory reporting.
10.00am Managing employees risk or reward - Ruth Rule-Mullen, Partner, Forbes Solicitors
This short session will focus on identifying the potential risks of employing staff and some practical dos and don'ts.
