The Lancashire Education Forum is a popular forum which is held termly and free to attend. The forums are aimed at Head Teachers, School Business Managers and School Governors who want to keep up to date with relevant changes and developments in the education sector.

We are keen to deliver the most relevant topics the education sector are looking for and find beneficial, therefore if there are any areas you would like to suggest to us for future forums please do let us know.

08.45am Top Ten for Schools' Finance - Martin Owen, Finance Support Officer, Forbes Solicitors
This session will look at what is the current and latest thinking in the world of education finance.

09.15am Contracts and Cash flow - John Pickervance, Associate, Corporate & Commercial
This session will explore how schools and education providers can use contracts to improve their cash flow position and introduce rights and remedies, which can minimise and mitigate financial risk. The session will cover a variety of contractual situations, including both suppliers and customers.

09.45am Managing your employee costs - Ruth Rule-Mullen, Partner, Education
This session will look at the challenges which are currently being faced by schools in respect of managing employees in light of budgetary restraints, and will aim to address ways in which to pre-empt and deal with these challenges effectively.
