We have great pleasure in inviting you to the Lancashire HR Retreat brought to you by Four HR and Forbes Solicitors.

We hope you can join us for an engaging morning of interactive role play workshops, updates and training with networking opportunities and an element of fun, all rolled in to half a day in the stunning location of Stanley House Hotel.

Please see below information on the sessions which will take place during the seminar:

Employment Law Update

The Forbes employment team will provide an update on the most recent employment law changes, along with what else is on the horizon.

Developing wellbeing in the workplace from the bottom up!

In 2017/18 half a million workers were diagnosed with work related stress, depression and anxiety; this reason constitutes 57% of all days taken sick during this period. It is overwhelmingly clear that ensuring the emotional wellbeing of the workforce is not just a company's ethical and legal responsibility, but a means of improving productivity and profitability. In this session Julie Stirpe from JSA Psychotherapy will offer Psychotherapeutic advice on developing wellbeing from the top down and bottom up!

Wellbeing in the workplace - live examples

The Forbes employment team and Julie from JSA, will develop this in further detail and look at case studies from real life examples that Julie or her team have dealt with, giving a slant of any employment law implications. We will then review and analyse the topical examples in further detail.

How to look after your mental health

This session will be led by Gary Cookson from EPIC (Evolve, Perform, Improve and Compete). Gary will share some personal stories and examples to illustrate why it's important to look after your own mental health and wellbeing, and the impact that doing so can have on others. There will be opportunities to discuss the effectiveness of approaches you've used to safeguard your own mental health and wellbeing in this interactive and engaging session.

The seminar will finish at around 1pm with lunch and an opportunity to network.
