Session summary:
Do you know the difference between your trade marks and copyright, patents and designs? Intellectual property is one of the most valuable tools for your business and used property can add considerable value. Many businesses are unaware of what intellectual property is and therefore are unaware of what to do to protect it and how they can get the most from it.
This session will focus on identifying the different types of intellectual property which will exist in your business including trade marks, copyright, patent, designs and other confidential information. We will explore the ways in which such intellectual property can be protected and then how businesses can look to commercialise and exploit that intellectual property for commercial gain and prevent others from doing so too.
