Join us for this online session where experts from Forbes Solicitors and Pierce Accountants will explain the changes to IR35 to be implemented on 6 April and the new obligations to be placed on organisations who engage freelance contractors via personal service companies (PSC). The session is to be hosted by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce as part of their CHAMBERLIVE series.
Ben Davies Assistant tax manager from Pierce accountants will discuss the tax implications of IR35 and how to prepare for these changes.
Amy Stokes from Forbes' employment team will explain IR35, the changes in the private sector and who it impacts. She will also discuss how to use the HMRC Check Employment Status for Tax tool and the implications if this falls inside the scope of IR35 concerning employment status.
John Pickervance, Head of Commercial at Forbes will explore some of the contractual nuances, hints and tips when engaging those consultants via a PSC and how you are best able to safeguard your business by outlining terms and conditions when entering into those contracts.
