Housing Officers - Safeguarding and Promoting Family Welfare

Together we are Forbes

Thursday 28 November 2013, Ewood Park, Blackburn Rovers FC, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.

Registered Providers have a statutory duty towards the welfare of tenants and their families and should have in place arrangements that reflect the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Failure to act upon your duties and responsibilities can result in significant media scrutiny for both the housing officer and the social landlord involved, a serious case review or ultimately loss of employment.

During this seminar Gill Carr and Rubina Vohra of Forbes' Family Department will focus on the role of housing officers in relation to tenants' family matters and their responsibilities. Housing officers will increase their awareness of all prominent issues which arise on a regular basis within the context of tenants and families.
