New Employment Tribunal Compensation Limits

The limits on compensation in the Employment Tribunal increase each year and from today the new limits will apply as follows:-

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal rises from £72,300 to £74,200.
A maximum week's pay for unfair dismissal and statutory redundancy increases from £430 to £450.
The maximum basic award for unfair dismissal and statutory redundancy payment rises from £12,900 to £13,500

These limits will apply where the event giving rise to the compensation occurs on or after 1 February 2013 otherwise the old limits will still apply.
