The Civil Proceedings and Family Proceedings Fees (Amendment) Order 2016 comes into force today and imposes an increase in civil court fees.

The court fees have now increased as follows:-

  • In possession claims, the issue fee is now £355;
  • For possession claims through PCOL, the issue fee is now £325;
  • The fee for general applications made on notice in proceedings is now £255;
  • The fee for general applications made without notice or made by consent is now £100.

The fee for issuing a non-money claim which is not a possession claim will remain at £280. Therefore, the fee for civil injunction applications will remain at £280.

In addition, the fee to request a warrant for possession will remain at £110.
