On Monday 25 July 2016, the Civil Proceedings, First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and Employment Tribunals Fees (Amendment) Order 2016 came into force and introduced further civil court fee increases.

The important ones for us to note are as follows:

  • The fee for issuing a claim in the County Court other possession/money claim (i.e. injunction claims) - £308
  • The fee to request a warrant for possession - £121

These increases come after a number of court fees were already increased in March this year. This saw the fee to issue possession claims rise to £355 (£325 for PCOL), the fee to make a general application within existing proceedings is now £255 and the fee to make an application by consent is now £100.
