On Thursday 15 September, after much anticipation (in the offices of solicitors, if nowhere else), the Legal 500 announced their UK rankings for 2016. The Legal 500 twitter account was quick to warn their followers of incoming "Humble Brags" from law firms who had improved their rankings.
Well, at Forbes we don't go in for humble brags. But we will say this; the ever-increasing Forbes Housing & Regeneration team, made up of over 35 lawyers and acting for over 90 Registered Providers nationally (and which includes property and development, housing litigation, employment and HR and governance and procurement teams) is now ranked in the top tier - Band 1 - for the North West. Not particularly humble, we'll admit, but definitely worth bragging about.
As well as this, our Corporate & Restructuring team has moved up to Band 2 and our partner and Head of Housing & Regeneration (Property) team Lucy Worrall has been listed as a leading lawyer.
The results said that Forbes' 'holistic, fastidious & effective team' are noted for their 'wealth of sector knowledge'. Heads of departments were described as 'brilliant' (Stuart Penswick) and 'exceptional' (Lucy Worrall) with special mentions also going to Daniel Milnes and Lachlan McLean.
Partner and Head of Housing & Regeneration (property) Lucy Worrall says "This ranking reflects the position of Forbes within the housing sector as a leading firm. We have a highly specialist team of lawyers dealing with a wide range of housing and regeneration work on a national basis; and the number of clients we act for is growing month by month which reflects our service levels and sector knowledge".
