A team of 10 "Brave Soles" from Forbes Solicitors raised over £2,000 for Blackburn Youth Zone on Wednesday evening by walking over over 15 feet of burning embers. The event which was held at the Youth Zone attracted participants from many organisations across East Lancashire.
Turf was laid over the ground and wood was placed on top. This wood burned for around two hours before the walk started. The burning embers reached temperatures of anything between 500C and 1000C.
Adam Bromley who is a Partner at Forbes and Board member of the Youth Zone acted as team captain for the evening. Adam said "It was amazing to be able to be part of this great fund raising event for Blackburn Youth Zone. The experience of fire walking is definitely one that I would recommend to people who want to do something different and all the team from Forbes had a brilliant night. The fact that we were able to raise funds to help the youth of Blackburn is an added bonus!"
