A 14-year-old schoolboy received £2,500 in compensation for multiple injuries sustained following a road traffic accident which occurred in November 2005.

The boy, aged 11 at the time of the accident, was making his way to school. To get to school he was required to cross a double-lane main road, one lane for normal traffic, the other a bus lane.

As he crossed the road he was hit by a car travelling from his left using the bus lane.

He was left with multiple injuries, mainly to his back and hip and suffered from nightmares and disturbed sleep.
