Local Solicitor Pauline Rigby is delighted to have won the + Factor Singing Award at the recent North West Society of Chartered Accountants Awards Dinner. Pauline who works for Lancashire law firm Forbes Solicitors fought off stiff competition with her accountancy related rendition of 'Hallelujah'. The version of the song had been specifically written for the event by Daniel Milnes, Head of Business Law at Forbes.
Pauline who is from Oldham has spent some time singing with a couple of bands whilst at university and has had some experience of performing at weddings and charity functions. Since qualifying as a Solicitor Pauline hasn't had time to do much singing until her return to the microphone at the awards dinner.
Pauline commented, "It is a great compliment that after such a long gap from performing people still enjoy my voice and I'm flattered to have won the award when up against some strong singers."
John Green from Pierce Chartered Accountants who is the President of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants presented the award along with Mark Delaney from Begbies Traynor, who were award sponsors.
