The Apprenticeship Levy and Education


The apprenticeship levy ('the levy') is now in force. The levy will affect employers with a salary bill over £3 million per year. The employer is required to pay 0.5% of their total salary bill (in most cases this will be basic pay including any additional allowances) less a £15,000 allowance.

The Mock Tribunal, played out by the Forbes' Education Team will demonstrate a realistic insight into the workings of an Employment Tribunal case in relation to performance management and misconduct in a School setting.

The prospect of going to an employment tribunal can be daunting. Unless you've done it before, it's difficult to imagine what it's like to be examined and cross-examined, to present a case cogently, and supply evidence to a judge and panel.
