I am a Paralegal with over 6 years of experience working predominantly with Registered Providers and I have also worked in house for a local authority. I have a degree in Law (LLB Hons) and have completed my LPC. My work has included:-
- Shared ownership and open market sales, including off plan sales
- Right to Buy / Right to Acquire sales
- Freehold / leasehold enquiries and resales, including interim and final staircasing, collection of sinking fund repayments and right to buy / right to acquire repayments
- Preparation of licences to assign, deeds of covenant, deeds of variation and licences to occupy
- Providing assistance on development acquisitions including assistance with the drafting /reviewing of development agreements, easements, S38 and S104 Agreements
- Reviewing, advising, preparing and assisting with S106 and S278 Agreements
- Preparing and advising on business tenancies including contracting out under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, section 25 and section 26 notices
- Preparing, advising and assisting with adverse possession applications/claims
- Preparing Tree Preservation Orders
- Advising and assisting Empty Homes Officers on powers including compulsory purchase orders
- Advising and assisting on tackling houses in disrepair including powers under Section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act and Community Protection Notices
- Advising and assisting Planning Enforcement Officers including planning contravention notices, breach of condition notices and stop notices
- Advising and assisting with claims in relation to interference with rights of way
- Providing key legal support and advice on Council projects (i.e. Market Walk Extension, Chorley) which included reviewing building contracts under the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016
