Helen qualified as a solicitor in March 2017 and joined Forbes Employment team in February 2020.
Helen is experienced in advising a range both public and private sector clients, with a specialism advising clients in the Education sector. Helen focusses on mitigating legal risks, whilst working with clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
Helen advises on a full breadth of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, from day-to-day HR issues including sickness absence management, disciplinary/grievance issues and performance management to more complex restructures/redundancies and discrimination issues.
Helen also acts for clients in undertaking independent investigations arising out of disciplinary and grievance matters, in particular, allegations of bullying and harassment.
Helen advises clients on Employment Tribunal claims and settlement agreements and can assist with drafting staff handbooks, policies and contracts.
