Bethany is an Accredited Data Protection Practitioner and specialises in data protection and information governance law. Bethany advises both the public and commercial sectors on data protection compliance. Bethany has worked with a range of clients in these sectors including education organisations from maintained schools to MATs, registered providers of social housing of all sizes, and other charities and community entities including CIOs, and CICs.
Bethany regularly advises organisations from all sectors on data protection and freedom of information matters, including UK GDPR, PECR, requests for educational records and Environmental Information Regulations. Bethany's information governance expertise is well demonstrated by her contributions to publications such as the DfE GDPR Toolkit and advice for educational institutions such as The Key. Bethany is also a published author having co-authored 'A Practical Guide to GDPR for Schools' with her colleague Daniel Milnes.
Bethany assists businesses and public sector organisations to manage their data protection compliance including audits, policies and procedures, data protection impact assessments, supplier due diligence, data subject access requests, training and data security breaches.
