£32k settlement after ankle injury from uncovered drain at work
Forbes Solicitors has secured a £32,000 settlement for a Driver after they fractured their ankle as a result of the Defendants failure to cover a drain adequately.

The day of the accident : 2023
Claimant was loading items into a vehicle supplied by the Defendants when they stepped onto a piece of wood that was covering a grate. As they did so the wood collapsed into the hole, and as a result the Claimant sustained injuries.
Making the personal injury claim
Following the accident, the claimant contacted Forbes Solicitors to make a claim for the accident they had suffered at work. When Forbes Solicitors contact the Defendant, the denied liability. After court proceedings were issued the defendants accepted an offer on a split liability basis which reflected the risk the court would find the Claimant should have seen or been aware there was covered grate, the claimant having worked for the defendants for many years.
