Supporting Community Projects

Forbes Solicitors is genuinely committed to being a legal firm at the heart of the community, because that's who we are and that's where we want to be. We are very active in supporting local projects, which benefit the communities in which we have offices. As a firm we have set up The Forbes Foundation which provides financial support to children, and their families, who are in need, by reason of ill health, disability, and/or financial hardship within England and Wales, but predominantly the North of England, by providing facilities, equipment and monetary grants. Other projects range from the traditional fundraising activities and pro bono work to long term projects where we work in partnership with organisations such as Blackburn Youth Zone to enhance our local communities. We take our responsibility as a major employer in the area seriously.

Forbes also takes part in an enormous variety of activities to help schools and colleges fulfil their commitment to careers advice and student development.

Being in work and having a satisfying career can give people the confidence, skills and ambition to be part of a truly sustainable community. The firm participates in school, college and undergraduate work experience, full and part day careers events; has delivered workshops covering Touch Typing, Using IT in the Legal Sector, Employability Skills, Interview Skills and mock interviews; and has started delivering mock trials to year 9 students looking for a career in law.
