A worker who suffered a serious facial injury while cutting a catalytic converter from a car has received a £17,000 settlement with the help of Forbes Solicitors. The incident occurred in 2024 when the Claimant was using a petrol-powered Stihl saw underneath a raised vehicle. The cutting blade caught and kicked back, leaving the Claimant with a disfiguring facial scar.
Following the accident, the injured worker instructed Forbes Solicitors to pursue a personal injury claim. Upon contacting the employer, the Defendant admitted liability and agreed to compensate the Claimant for their injuries, loss of earnings, and potential impact on future employment due to the visible scar.
The case was successfully concluded by John Bennett, one of Forbes’ personal injury specialists.
