Patient Wins £11,000 Compensation After Slip and Fall on Wet floor at Chorley Hospital

In 2021, a patient at Chorley Hospital suffered a personal injury after slipping and falling on a wet floor that had recently been cleaned but left without adequate warning signs. The incident occurred as the Claimant was walking from the medication room to the lounge area to speak with another patient.

It was later revealed that the cleaning agency responsible for maintaining the area had failed to follow proper cleaning procedures, using the wrong mop head, which left the floor wetter than it should have been, and neglecting to display any ‘wet floor’ signs.
