Times newspaper reports that "Babies' lives are at risk because maternity units are still unsafe"

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/almost-half-of-nhs-maternity-services-in-england-are-unsafe-lf7q7jlbm?shareToken=4b0b88dfae12089971ee8efb94febf24

The headlines continue about the shocking reports of babies dying or being badly injured as a result of poor standards. Mothers are suffering too. The article makes reference to the "CQC report on Morecambe Bay showed failures in maternity care, including women who had been at risk of sepsis and had not been given antibiotics in time. There were not enough midwives to "keep women safe from avoidable harm"

Lessons need to be learned. Whilst the NHS is under significant strain, it should not detract from the basic standards of clinical care. The consequences of substandard care can have a devastating impact on an individual's life and that of their family.

If you've suffered due to clinical negligence, our clinical and medical negligence solicitors are here to help. We have a wide range of experience in the clinical negligence field.

At Forbes Solicitors, we understand that medical professionals work hard and deal with difficult situations every day. However, sometimes mistakes happen, and we believe that those who do experience clinical negligence deserve compensation for their suffering. Clinical negligence cases can be complex and long, however, we will be with you every step of the way with expert legal advice and knowledge.

If you have experienced neglect, a misdiagnosis or suffered due to clinical negligence, then contact us on 0800 037 4625 for some, no win, no fee, no obligation advice.

Our clinical negligence solicitors are members of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel. We are also proud to be only one of the few law firms in the North of England with a Legal Aid Agency Clinical Negligence Franchise. This accreditation is awarded to a small number of elite and highly qualified solicitors and means, in certain circumstances, we can apply for legal aid, now known as Legal Service Commission Funding, to help fight clinical negligence cases.
