HR Complete Training: Cancer in the workplace

Our HR Complete Training Programme is back for 2026.

We’re delighted to kick off the year with guest Sarah Drake, Founder of Elephant in the Room Training.

In support of World Cancer Day 2026, our first session will focus on cancer in the workplace — and how employers and colleagues can better support those affected. Sarah is a leading voice in workplace cancer support, bringing insight, empathy and practical guidance to this important conversation.

Following her own experience with breast cancer, Sarah has made it her mission to ensure cancer patients’ voices are heard and better supported at work. 

She now works with business owners, HR leaders and managers to help them respond with confidence, clarity and compassion when cancer impacts their teams - including how to support employees who are caring for or have family members affected by cancer.

Sarah regularly delivers keynotes, panels and round-table discussions in partnership with the NHS and Cancer charities across the UK - all while juggling life in Lancaster with her husband, three teenage sons, and two very energetic Labradoodles.

If you are a HR Complete/ In-House HR retainer client you are able to book two free places, additional places can then be booked at a discounted rate. If you are not a HR Complete/ In-House HR retainer client it is £75.00+VAT per delegate, per training session.

By placing an order to attend our training course you agree and acknowledge that:

• this shall constitute an order that we reserve the right to either accept or reject and that this shall not be deemed to have been accepted until such time as we issue our written confirmation; and

• if we accept your order, we shall invoice for the applicable fee which shall remain payable in full notwithstanding that a delegate or delegates were unable to attend the training course.
