Alex Reid

Alex qualified in 2007 and since then has worked specifically within the Family Law area, specialising exclusively in matters regarding Children and the Law for the last fourteen years.She was admitted to the Children Panel on 1st December 2011 which means she is qualified to represent children within court proceedings concerning them and she has represented children via their Children's Guardian on numerous occasions within private and public law proceedings.Alex acts on behalf of parents within public law proceedings and on behalf of varying extended family members making applications on their behalf concerning child relatives both within private and public law proceedings.She has acted on behalf of the Independent Reviewing Officer within the Local Authority when a child has made an application to the court in respect of a violation of their human rights and she have previously provided free advice for the victims of domestic violence in the past via the Hope Centre, Preston which is a charity whom provide services to the victims of domestic violence.Alex has made applications on behalf of the victims of domestic violence both male and female to ensure that they and their children have the protection of the law from abusive partners, ex - partners, husbands, ex - husbands and family members.She has represented clients at all levels within the Family Court system and have advocated before Magistrates, District Judges, Circuit Judges and before High Court Judge's assigned to the Family Division.
