Beth is a Solicitor in the Crime Department and specialises in all aspects of Criminal Defence. Beth first joined Forbes Solicitors in 2019 and completed her training contract at the firm.
Beth represents clients at the Magistrates Court and runs her own caseload at the Crown Court, dealing with all aspects of criminal cases. Offences Beth has dealt with include murder, drugs, violence, and those of a sexual nature. Beth is also an Accredited Police Station Representative who represents and advises clients who have been arrested and detained at the Police Station.
Beth further deals with and represents clients at the pre-charge stage of a criminal investigation. Beth is experienced in drafting pre-charge representations which recommend that allegations should not be prosecuted or suggest that an Out-of-Court disposal may be more appropriate.
Beth is also a part of our Business Crime Team, having become involved in financial crime cases at the firm. Beth is currently instructed to assist in representing a defendant involved in an international hacking fraud with associated money laundering offences.
Beth has completed her Magistrates Court Qualification and is now a member of the Law Society's Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme, meaning she can act for Defendants at the Magistrates Court as a Duty Solicitor.
