Coral Peutrill

As an associate solicitor, Coral has built a wealth of experience in advising educational institutions on pastoral and commercial matters. This includes providing support to schools and colleges in respect of day-to-day commercial contracts and hire facilities agreements.

Coral also frequently provides advice in respect of pastoral matters including admission, behaviour and exclusions, parent complaints, SEND and safeguarding. Coral is also experienced in supporting schools to challenge an EHCP placement, and clerk stage 3 complaints panels and exclusion panels.  She has successfully challenged Ofsted decisions and decisions of exam bodies.

Coral provides bespoke training sessions to schools on topics such as the Equality Act and managing vexatious complaints.

Coral is also experienced in the process of academy conversion and MAT expansion, providing clients with the level of support they need through this process. She conducts external governance audits and advises on significant changes.

As well as her experience advising clients, Coral is a trustee of a local multi-academy trust.
