Emma Swan

Emma is the Divisional Lead for the Commercial Division of Forbes Solicitors LLP and a Partner in the Firm.

As Divisional Lead she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the commercial legal services, business development, and operational management within the Commercial Division working closely with the Commercial Heads of Department and their teams in corporate, commercial, commercial litigation, property litigation, commercial property, commercial employment, insolvency and debt recovery.

Forbes Divisional approach aims to bring greater expertise to our services, further strategic growth and enhanced collaboration across the Divisions all whilst ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed our clients' expectations.

Emma is responsible for the strategic direction of the commercial legal services. She also maintains key client and referrer relationships on behalf of the firm.

Emma takes a dynamic and pragmatic approach to finding workable commercial solutions. She is highly driven and valued not only as an employment lawyer, but also as a business adviser who is accessible and attentive.

Prior to her appointment as Divisional Lead, she was the Head of Commercial Employment in the Employment, HR and Business Immigration Team based across Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds at Forbes Solicitors LLP.

Emma has considerable experience and expertise throughout employment law practice, having advised and assisted private sector clients, from local SMEs to large multinational PLCs for over 20 years. She has particular expertise in the manufacturing and construction industries, as well as the hospitality and retail sectors.

Emma is also a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer.
