Andrew is an experienced employment solicitor who qualified in 2014. He advises across a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Prior to joining Forbes Andrew was the Employment Solicitor at The University of Liverpool and the Head of Legal and HR for a large group of GP Practices' in Liverpool.
Andrew has been practicing employment law for more than 15 years and in that time has worked with various clients both in the private and public sector.
As well as providing assistance with day-to-day HR issues, Andrew is a confident advocate in the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Andrew has also undertaken secondments for clients which have included large scale redundancy projects and has managed teams of Junior lawyers and HR professionals.
Andrew is often instructed by clients to conduct investigations and appeals in respect of senior dismissal and grievance matters. He is regularly complimented for his attention to detail and down to earth approach when dealing with these matters. Andrew is also an experienced mediator in workplace disputes
Given Andrew's most recent roles he has a good understanding of the issues faced by HR professionals and managers, having faced those issues himself firsthand.
