Jo has over 15 years' experience working as a specialist employment lawyer for large international and national law firms. She provides pragmatic, commercial advice to employers from a range of sectors including manufacturing, hospitality and retail. She is highly experienced dealing with both contentious and non-contentious issues covering the full employment life cycle from recruitment through to termination, including disciplinary, grievance and capability issues, together with employment tribunal claims.
She provides strategic support to businesses on complex corporate restructures, including redundancy, business sales/acquisitions, outsourcing and TUPE.
Jo also supports employers and individuals in negotiating senior exits. She regularly works alongside our Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams on director/shareholder disputes and provides strategic advice on restrictive covenants.
Jo is a frequent speaker and panellist at both internal and external events and is an experienced trainer, delivering both public and bespoke client training sessions. She is also co-chair of the Manchester Law Society's Employment Law Committee.
Jo enjoys working closely with her clients so she understands their goals and is able to find practical, commercial solutions.
