Lauren qualified as a solicitor in September 2023, having trained with Forbes Solicitors. Prior to joining Forbes, Lauren was a paralegal for three years at an International Law firm.
Lauren's focus is primarily commercial employment law dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters, supporting both employers and employees. She advises clients on Employment Tribunal Claims, as well as drafting Contracts of Employment and Staff Handbooks. In addition to project work, Lauren provides day-to-day advice on HR and employment issues including but not limited to, recruitment, the grievance and disciplinary process and performance and sickness absence management.
She also assists in providing strategic support to businesses on complex corporate restructures, including redundancy, business sales/acquisitions, outsourcing and TUPE, working alongside our Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams.
Lauren is also a Mentor as part of the Manchester Young Professionals, mentoring scheme.
