Sam works within the Development team and, as part of his role, advises and assists Registered Providers and Local Authorities in respect of development projects and commercial leasehold matters.
He is experienced in a wide range of lease transactions including the grant/taking of new leases, surrenders, renewals, assignments and sub-leases, from the perspective of both the landlord and the tenant.
Sam also assists with a wide variety of acquisition work from bare land sale and purchase contracts through to back-to-back land transactions and development agreements. Sam's experience extends to both affordable housing developments and mixed housing/commercial regeneration projects. He regularly assists registered providers with the acquisition of completed units in accordance with section 106 requirements.
Sam is adept at providing tailored advice to clients on complex housing issues and has, in the past, provided training in connection with a wide range of subject matters, be it in the form of small, interactive sessions or by speaking at large scale seminars.
