Forbes are delighted to announce that we have secured two distinguished barrister to present at this year's retail sector legal update seminar. Peter Morton of Crown Office Chambers will be talking about the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act and Andrew McNamara of Ropewalk Chambers will discuss interactions with the public including false imprisonment and wrongful arrest.

Nigel and Andrew will look at recent case law covering interactions with the public with specific focus on allegations of false imprisonment or unlawful detention, defamation issues that can arise and use a case study from a recent trial win to look at the issues. They will also look at vicarious liability responsibilities when employees are dealing with members of the public.
