Blackburn Incorporated Law Association (BiLA) recently raised over £1,400 for Blackburn Youth Zone with the help of Forbes Solicitors.
BiLA hosted its annual dinner at Ewood Park and brought together over 170 legal professionals from the area to celebrate and reflect on the past year. This year's chosen charity, Blackburn Youth Zone, is a 21st century youth hub located at the heart of Blackburn, open to young people aged 8 to 18 years old, aiming to change the prospects offered to young people in the area.
Jonathan Holden, Forbes' Partner and BiLA President, comments 'I was delighted with the amount the BiLA dinner raised for this fantastic local charity. Forbes are Patrons of Blackburn Youth Zone so we see first hand the outstanding support and facilities they provide.
Sarah Johns, Blackburn Youth Zone Development Manager comments, "We were delighted to be nominated as the beneficiary charity of the BiLA Dinner and were overwhelmed by the level of support from everyone who attended. The donation will go towards providing young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to everyday for just 50p per visit."
