High Court Judge to Launch Marriage Charity

The Solicitors Journal has commented on the launch of the Marriage Foundation by Mr. Justice Coleridge, which is an independent charity, whose aims are to reverse the trend of family breakdown.

Statistics show that 3.8 million children are being caught up in the family justice system every year.  This is tragic and most certainly has a huge impact on family life.  Needless to say, this does not only have an effect on the parents of children but also wider family members.

Sadly, the High Court Judge had indicated during last year that getting a divorce in the UK was “easier than getting a driving licence”.  I note that he has raised the subject at any opportunity he is able to, and I hope that he receives the support that is required to introduce policies and provide support to families who are experiencing relationship problems.
