Forbes Solicitors is offering a local student invaluable work experience as part of their studies after teaming up with Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio.
Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio (DAES) is a new type of state school for 14-19 year olds of all abilities, with a focus on personalisation, practical hands on learning and real work. Working closely with local employers Studio Schools offer a range of academic qualifications in line with the national curriculum, including GCSEs in English, Maths and Science, as well as paid work placements linked directly to local employment opportunities.
Forbes is currently supporting one student who is gaining experience in the busy HR and Training Department which supports over 350 staff across the firm's nine offices.
Helen Knowles, Director of Employer Engagement at DAES, comments, "The Studio is delighted to have one of our year 10 students have his work placement at Forbes. This is a fantastic opportunity for the student to study for their GCSEs and gain real life experience in the business sector that they have aspirations to work in the future."
